Baseboard Heaters
Let’s get warm and cozy!
Are there rooms in your home that seem extra chilly? Do you want to take the nip out of the air without using a dangerous space heater? If you answered yes to any of the questions, then it’s time to give John's Electric a call.
John's Electric can make any room in your home warmer and cozy by adding baseboard heaters. Baseboard heaters are great alternatives when it’s not practical to extend the existing heating system to supply heat to a new addition, or the existing heat is not adequate.
Electric baseboard heaters are zonal heaters controlled by thermostats located within each room and depending on how large the room will depend on how large of a baseboard heater you will need. One of our electrical experts will review your home and the rooms that you want baseboard heaters installed and will determine what size you should get and determine what size circuits you will need for the installation of the baseboard heater.
How do they work?
Baseboard heaters contain electric heating elements encased in metal pipes that go from one end of the enclosure to the other. As air within the heater is warmed, it rises into the room, and cooler air is drawn into the bottom of the heater.
If possible, baseboard heaters should be installed under windows. As heat rises from the heater, it will neutralize the cold air that comes from the windows. Baseboard heaters should always be installed on the perimeter walls because this is where the greatest heat loss occurs.
There are many rules that should be followed when installing a baseboard heater, that’s why you should always have a licensed professional from John's Electric do the installation. Our aim is to keep you and your family safe, and there is nothing more dangerous than electricity. If a baseboard heater is installed in the wrong location, improperly installed or not the correct circuit is installed, then a tragedy is just waiting to happen.
John's Electric offers a variety of types of baseboard heaters to fit any budget. Call us today and we get rid of the chill, and that is a guarantee.
